Still Strollin’
I would like to add one more item before this segment goes into Archive. It's a baby blanket that my friend Lynn made from Filatura Di Crosa and their Baby Extra book. It uses both Lovely and Pom Pom yarn. It's adorable!
This fun hat is from Ann Norling. She calls it her Head Hugger, which is her version of the London Beanie. She numbers her patterns and this is pattern #55. This is a pattern well worth having, from all the stitch veriations to the size variations. It starts at the infant size and goes all the way up to a large adult size. The yarn I used was Artyarns Supermerino.
These socks I made and love the way they turn out. The pattern is titled Little Speckled Toes, HOWEVER, I substituted the Naturally Magic Garden Buttons (as I couldn't find that yarn locally) for a handpainted yarn made in Shelton Washington, still DK weight.

This pattern can be found in a book titled "Knit Baby Head & Toes" by Gwen Steege. Ask your LYS to get the book for you if they don't carry it. Here is link to the lady that makes this yarn, Myra Hanson of Fancy Image Yarns.

Here is a blanket you may all recognize. The pattern is called Baby Blocks and it's from Debbie Macombers first pattern book called "A Shop On Blossom Street" put out by Leisure Arts. This one Lynn made for a lady she works with that is having a baby. I thought I would include it, as we are doing the baby thing. I will include a link to a free pattern.

Here is a blanket I made out of Lorna's Laces Shephard in "childs play". Unfortunately I cannot publish the pattern as I don't know the source. My pattern is just a xerox copy from a friends book from long ago. BUT, I can share - right?

I want to add this lovely angora hat from Lorna's Laces. My friend Lynn made this hat and she said it went fast and was really fun to make. You can click on the link below to print out the pattern compliments of Jimmy Beans Wool in Reno Nevada :)

Baby #2, Patrick Alexander, has arrived. I have this cute little cardigan all ready for him. This sweater is a top down raglan v-neck cardigan.

The designer is Ann Norling and the pattern is #53. I used a Muench yarn called Tessin in #65822, green! You can get this pattern at your LYS. If they don’t have it in stock, I’m sure they would order it for you and their store. Also, a great book for other baby items is Babies & Toddlers, A Knitter’s Dozen. Your local yarn shops should also carry this book.
