Spring has arrived and we will be focusing on "SOCKS".   Please don't be shy.....share your fun socks with everyone!

Now here is something you don't see everyday.....crocheted socks.  Kristen tried Kemberlee's Crocheted Socks using Art Yarns Ultra Merino 4.  You can look Kemberlee up on Ravelry!  You can also visit Kristen's website Moose Threads

PATTERN

Here is another pair of socks from Kim in Germany.  They are entitled "The Simulated Basket Weave Socks" by Charlene Schuch from the book "More Sensational Socks".  The yarn she used was Regia Silk in black & pink!

Kim Gutschmidt has sent in a sock all the way from Germany called the Tidal Wave Sock by Deby Lake.  She knit these socks out of Regia Color 4-Ply in colorway 5030 - LOVE LOVE LOVE~

Southwest Trading Company offers the free pattern here and recommends TOFUtsies yarn.

Here is a sock knit by Lynn.  She used the Misti Alpaca Sock Yarn in a basic sock pattern.  Thank Lynn, nice job!

On my long weekend away I traveled to Portland Oregon to visit Knit-Purl for a spotlight.  While I was there I saw this fabulous stylish sock made out of ShibuiKnit Sock Yarn in Peacock and the pattern used was ShibuiKnits Button Up Sock!  Look for my spotlight soon......

These sock are also from The Yarn Patch.  The top sock was knit out of Sockotta and it's an Ann Norling #12.  The green sock was knit using Dream in Color Smooshy also using Ann Norling #12A.  The bottom sock was created and knit by Jane Sunderman.

Here are some socks all the way from a yarn shop in Crossville Tennessee called The Yarn Patch  The top sock is made from Dream In Color (Classy) and from an old Bernat sock pattern that is no longer in print.  the second sock is made out of Wisdom in Yummy.  The pattern used was from Cat Bordhi's book "New Pathways" and was knit up by Sandra David.

Janna finished her socks....."No Purl Monkey Socks" from Knitty she used Socks That Rock yarn in "Love In Idleness".

Here is a new thing this season in sock knitting.  It's called Flat Feet.....they take a flat knitted fabric and hand dye it - you unravel it and knit it up.  What a fun and unique idea.  You can get this product from Wild & Wooly Yarn Shop in Poulsbo Washington state and I'm sure a yarn shop near you.....

Here is another pair of socks made by Lynn.  She too used Fiber Trends Butterlies & Blossoms pattern and she also used Myra Hansens hand dyed yarn.  You'll notice that this is the "blossom" pattern.  Down below, you can see the "butterfly" pattern knit by Myra.  Make sure to read Myra's story on our "spotlight" page.  You'll notice that these socks were knit using a solid color and I think that may be best for this pattern, as it let's the beautiful design stand on it's own - thank you Evelyn A. Clark!

My good friend Lynn is back with another finished project.  This time, a pair of socks for us to add to our socks page.  This pair was made using the Simple Sock pattern from Cat Bordi's book "Socks Soar on Two Circular Needles".  Lynn used Fixation yarn by Cascade Yarns.  Thank you Lynn =-)

Now here is an interesting idea out of Alaska.....Barbara from Kenai makes socks for mothers-to-be and with the left over yarn, makes a pair of baby socks.  Great idea for a hospital visit or shower.  The pattern Barbara likes to use is out of the book, Learn to Knit Socks by Edie Eckman, and the pattern is called "Step Right Up"!  Thank you Barbara - love the socks and the idea!

Myra Hanson knit these socks out of her hand dyed fingering weight yarn.  The pattern used was Butterflies & Blossoms by Fiber Trends and Evelyn A. Clark.  Myra chose the "butterfly" pattern here.

Here is a pair of socks that you can see hanging in the Churchmouse Yarns & Teas on Bainbridge Island, here in Washington state.  They used Ann Norlings sock pattern 12 and Socks That Rock, Stormy Weather.

This sock was designed by Mary Aman with the use of Sock Wizard  The yarn used was Knit Picks Palette.

The pattern was test knit by Jean from Oregon.  It's called Snakes In The Sand

Thank you to Jean and Mary for the use of your pattern, it's awesome!

This sock was knit by Jean from Oregon.  She belongs to a knit along group on Yahoo called Knitters Pentathlon.  The sock is called Jacobean and was knit from Meilenweit Mega Boots Stretch Softcolor by Lana Grossa.

All of us have used the "Knitting Pure & Simple" patterns, well, they have a sock patterns too.  Sue from the Wild & Wooly Yarn Shop in Poulsbo Washington made these handsome socks out of Cascade 220 Superwash.  You can see these socks in the store in the sock section by the table in the back of the store.

These socks were knit up by Carolyn Perisho from Wild & Wooly Yarn Shop

The yarn used for these socks is made by Zitron and it's called Life Style.  Now the pattern is Carolyn's own pattern, and you have to take her sock class to get the pattern.

Here are some socks from my good friend Lynn.  The first is another pair from Panda Cotton by Crystal Palace.  Lynn's feedback was that the patterning was obviously different and that the sock didn't hold there shape - she wasn't pleased with this yarn and won't knit with it again.....just food for thought.  The second was the new Noro sock yarn and she LOVED that, the third Trekking Pro Natura by Zitron.  Thank you Lynn for your participation.....

Here is a pair of socks all the way from New York - they belong to Phoebe.  The pattern is Summer of Love Lace Socks by Blue Moon Fiber Arts and the yarn is of course SOCKS THAT ROCK - thanks Phoebe.....

Here are two pairs of socks both knit by Deanna. This first pair (black) was knit out of Panda Cotton by Crystal Palace Yarns. The next pair (pink) were knit up out of Norweger Ringel by Steinbach Wolle Strapaz. The pattern she used was Hellen's Favorite Socks by Fiber Trends. This is a great pattern, if you haven't seen it yet. There are three patterns each done two different ways. I love patterns like this, as I think your money goes a little further that way.
