Wisconsin will be our state this month of July, 2009.  I am very excited to see what Wisconsin has in store for us.  With every state that we do, I never know in the beginning what kind of response we'll have.  I do know that Wisconsin is the home of Meg Swansen and her famous knitting camps and retreats based out of Marshfield, Wisconsin.  Ms. Swansen is also the owner of Schoolhouse Press.  Wisconsin also has their ever popular Wisconsin Sheep & Wool Festival in the fall.  Madison, Wisconsin, is home to the Madison Knitter's Guild; an organization 350 strong.  I think with references like these, we're likely to see a great representation for lots of fine knitters.  Wisconsin was the 30th state in the union - "on Wisconsin"!

Anna lives in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, and she has knit these wonderful toe-up socks from Sarah-Knits.  Anna calls them her Sheep Hill socks ??  The yarn Anna used is by Perfect Day Yarns, Bamboo Haiku Socks.  I love these socks - it's hard to see but the yarn has the slightest hint of green mixed in - LOVELY!  Thank you Anna, thank you Sarah!

Amy is from Waukesha, Wisconsin, and she has knit the Anniversary Mystery Shawl 09 by Renee Leverington.  The yarn that Amy used is from Interlacements and it's called Spiderweb.  Amy purchased her yarn at Knitch in Delafield, Wisconsin - a sponsor of this website. Amy, your shawl is so pretty and it's a yummy color.  Thanks for representing Waukesha!

We will be kicking things off this month with a woman from Oshkosh, Wisconsin, named Paulette.  Paulette knit the Mr. Greenjeans cardigan by Amy Swensen.  The yarn used here is from Dream in Color - Classy, in colorway Pansy Go Lightly.  I LOVE this cardigan Paulette.....thanks for kicking things off for us and of course participating.  Thank you Knitty.
