Anything Goes!

It's Summer time and the livin' is easy.....share whatever it is you are working on these days.  This is the season to walk barefoot and take life slower.  I have no theme whatsoever, so share your knitting with America ~ thank you to all who share!

Here are some more baby sweaters from Geri in Poulsbo Washington.  She pumps these sweaters out, and one is more beautiful than the next.  She is extraordinary!

Hoodies are big - I've been seeing them more and more in clothing even on t-shirts.  This is the cutest little sweater, I want one in my size.....my friend Lynn, a regular contributor, made this sweater out of Crystal Palace Cotton Chenille.  The pattern she used is from the Knitting Pure & Simple line called Knitting Pure & Simple Babies Neck Down Cardigan #982.  Please check your LYS for this pattern.  Look at those little whale buttons!  Thanks Lynn~

Here's another pair of socks from our friend Kim from Germany.  She's just a sock knitting machine!  The thing is, her socks are anything but ordinary - they are all so pretty!!  This pair is the Crosshatch Lace by Charlene Schurch from More Sensational Knitted socks.  The yarn is Regia Color 4-ply, colorway 5025.  Thank you Kim~

This is the cutest little sweater for a baby arriving in your circle of friends.  Geri from Poulsbo Washington made this sweater entitled "Baby Soft Cardigan", from The Knitters Book of Yarn by Clara Parkes out of Blue Sky Organic Cotton.  You are a good knitter Geri!

Bags, bags and more bags!  I guess this summer is a bag summer.  Here are a couple of bags made by my friend Lynn.  They are called Stripe Savvy and the pattern came from Interweave Knits winter 03 edition.  Yarn used Koigu.  These are small in size but pack a cute punch!

Well I went to a baby shower a couple of weeks ago and had a great time.  The baby is to be a boy and will be born in August.  I still have my blanket on needles, but did manage to whip up this stinkin' cute Sock Monkey Hat.  The link to the pattern is below.  I made the size small and I would say it's infant size or at least babies totally.  One other note, the yarn called for is now discontinued and I used Bernat chunky for mine.

Check these socks out - Kim from Germany is just a sock knitting machine.  The name of this sock is Scrolls by Charlene Schurch from the More Sensational Knitted Socks book.  The yarn is Schachenmayr nomotta Bambino, colorway 37.  I think that socks really are a great summer project - portable, short rows.....but these are anything but simple.  You are a great sock knitter Kim!!

Look at Dakota in a sweater made by her Nana Chris from Poulsbo Washington - OMG - how cute - LOVE IT!  It's a Lorna's Laces pattern called "A Cardigan For Every Kid" but Chris used Araucania Nature Wool Chunky Multi. Good job, that looks like it was fun to make!

Here is another entry from Erin in Long Beach California.  She has even written up a pattern for anyone who would like to make this bag.  Thank you Erin, your bag is exquisite!

Erin's Lace Tote

Jana Schiewe from Washington made the Koolhaas Hat from the Interweave Knits Holiday 2007 issue by Jared Flood.  The yarn used was Dream in Color.  Nice job, I'm making that too.....

Kim Gutschmidt from Germany just finished the Monkey Sock (no purl version) by Cookie A. in Koigu KPPM colorway P812.  LOVE THEM!  Thanks Kim~ free pattern

For the no purl version, you just knit the purls~happy knitting!

Here is Brynn wearing the sweater Grandma Deanna made and looking totally adorable.  Nice job Deanna from Poulsbo Washington.  It's a Lion Brand pattern called Eyelet Yoke Cardigan

but Deanna used three skeins of Blue Sky Organic Cotton and a slight needle adjustment.  As you can see in the photo, Brynn will be wearing the sweater this fall.

Bag #1 is from Lynn in Washington; and it's a classic hobo style bag made out of the Noro Ganpi Abaka Teipu.

Bag #2 is from Erin in Long Beach California, and it's from a pattern called "Wobbly Circles Tote" by Leigh Radford and Interweave Knits magazine Spring 2006 edition; the yarn used was Cascade 220., Lambs Pride Bulky and Berroco Hip Hop stranded with some Lamb's Pride Worsted.

Bag #3 is from Melissa in Washington, and it's called Celtic Tote by Jennifer Tallapaneni out of the Interweave Knits magazine, Winter 2007 edition.   Melissa used Brown Sheep's Lamb's Pride Worsted.
